| | Today’s health insurance structure is designed to cover specific traditional medical and interventional services that address catastrophic and disabling illnesses and injuries that would otherwise be financially devastating. However, with premium costs rising and coverage declining, consumers and health care providers across the nation are outraged and are demanding a change in structure and approach to health care coverage. A large frustration with the current system is the lack of coverage and support for preventative health and wellness related services which have a high likelihood of reducing downstream costs and improving health and quality of life.
In response to this ever growing need and demand, the Institute for Restorative Health and Physical Edge are launching their Optimal Health and Longevity Program. This program is innovative and one of a kind in the region if not nationwide.
The Optimal Health and Longevity Program is designed to provide a wide array of health enhancing services that are tailored to and directed by the consumer. Entrance into the program commences with a one hour evaluation with one of our highly trained health path consultants. The client will complete an extensive health, lifestyle and medical questionnaire prior to his or her visit with the consultant. The visit will serve to review this evaluation with the client and to identify health and wellness issues that require special attention. This evaluation results in a recommendation for a comprehensive optimal health and longevity program which can be as simple as a couple of classes or workshops, fitness program and health path consultation follow-up visits.
If necessary, a complete health and medical assessment followed by a one year long tailor made interdisciplinary health care package including health care provider visits will be implemented. The length of program will be determined and services can be undertaken at the client’s pace and discretion. Any services that are already being undertaken will be taken into account when calculating program cost. A personalized check off list will be provided to the client as well as IRH office staff. Below are the types of testing, provider visits and services at IRH and Physical Edge that are available in individualized optimal health programs.
