| | Alexa Whitten-Eisenman is a certified Speech Language Pathologist who has been diagnosing and treating patients with speech and language deficits for the past eleven years. She received her Bachelor’s degree from UC Davis in 1993, and her Master’s degree from the University of the Pacific in 1997. Prior to joining Institute for Restorative Health, Alexa worked for Alta CaliforniaRegionalCenter focusing on children aged newborn to 3 years of age with emergent language deficits. She has also worked in a private practice setting, as well as the public school system. Alexa served as a clinical supervisor for the graduate students at the University of the Pacific for several years, working in conjunction with Scottish Rite Language Center. | | Although Alexa has a wide variety of clinical experience, she feels her true calling is to work with children. Her skills in this area include diagnosing and treating those with disorders of articulation, phonology, dysfluency, language, voice, and pragmatics. She is also experienced in working with children who demonstrate characteristics of Asperger’s syndrome and autism. When Alexa is not providing speech and language services to her patients, she is busy at home taking care of her three wonderful children. And when she is not doing something with them (which is rarely the case!), she loves exercising, baking, and planning her next weekend getaway to Tahoe! | |
